I did not think there was a chain in the universe that could top the quality and taste of In-N-Out Burger.  I was wrong.  Several people recommended we try Five Guys Burgers and Fries…thank you!  As far as chains go, I never thought I’d want to get back in line to order seconds…but this burger put a spell on me.  (I did not go get back in line, but I seriously thought about it – and I was full!)  As John stated on our blog, “Even a great champion has to go down eventually. 5 Guys knocked out In-N-Out as the best large chain burger joint.  They make an outstanding burger with a big selection of toppings customized for every customer.  Their standard burger is two fresh, flavorful and juicy patties cooked to order. This chain is rapidly expanding out West and doing it right.” Amen!

Yesterday we headed back to San Diego for the CNNMA conference and just knowing we would be driving by Temecula made me want to detour from the freeway. However, I resisted the temptation.  Instead, we tried a different burger joint in San Diego called Bergie’s Pub.  Yum-oy.  I would choose Five Guys over Bergie’s Pub, but I would go back to Bergie’s Pub in a heartbeat.

Peace Out,  Trenquilla
