Five great movies you probably have never seen…

Unconditional Love (2002) – Kathy Bates leads a great ensemble on a wonderful movie that so perplexed the studio, they ended up shelving it for four years and never gave it an official U.S. release.

Playing By Heart (1998) – Masterful movie about relationships featuring Sean Connery, Angelina Jolie, Gena Rowlands, Gillian Anderson, Madeleine Stowe, Dennis Quaid, Jay Mohr, Ellen Burstyn, and Ryan Philippe. Movie had rave reviews, yet died at the box office grossing only $3 million and was quickly forgotten.

American Movie (1999) – It may be almost as funny as Spinal Tap except for one thing – this documentary is not made up. Funniest documentary I have ever seen.

Heart and Souls (1993) – Feel-good, box office flop with Robert Downey Jr., Charles Groden, Alfre Woodard, Tom Sizemore…

They Shoot Horses Don’t They (1969) – Great film had 9 Oscar nominations, but seems largely forgotten. Incredibly intense Depression-era telling of a marathon dancing competition.
